He completed her postdoctoral research contract at the University of Regina (Canada) in 2013, under the supervision of Dr. Gordon Asmundson. At the end of 2013, she was hired as an assistant professor at the School of Psychology of the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile, where she directed the Pain, Physical Health and Mental Health Laboratory until mid-2021. That year she joined the University of Granada with a PhD assistant contract in the Department of Personality, Evaluation and Psychological Treatment. In 2022, she was hired by the Department of Personality, Evaluation and Psychological Treatment of the University of Malaga, and in July 2023 she obtained the position of full professor in said Department, where she continues to teach and research at present.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div><br \/>\n[\/av_textblock]<\/p>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-kv2nmuha-cd620dc4a26a12a2cdf29c8080e20aed '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Recibi\u00f3 su Doctorado en Psicolog\u00eda en la Universidad de M\u00e1laga en 2010. Complet\u00f3 su contrato investigaci\u00f3n postdoctoral en la Universidad de Regina (Canad\u00e1) en 2013, bajo la supervisi\u00f3n del Dr. Gordon Asmundson. A finales de 2013, fue contratada como profesora asistente en la Escuela de Psicolog\u00eda de la Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile, donde dirigi\u00f3 el Laboratorio de Dolor, Salud F\u00edsica y Salud Mental de dicha instituci\u00f3n hasta mediados del a\u00f1o 2021. Dicho a\u00f1o se incorpor\u00f3 a la Universidad de Granada con un contrato de ayudante doctora en el Departamento de Personalidad, Evaluaci\u00f3n y Tratamiento Psicol\u00f3gico. En 2022, es contrata por el Departamento de Personalidad, Evaluaci\u00f3n y Tratamiento Psicol\u00f3gico de la Universidad de M\u00e1laga, y en julio 2023 obtiene la plaza de profesora titular en dicho Departamento, donde contin\u00faa ejerciendo labores docentes e investigadoras en la actualidad.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n<p>[\/av_two_third][\/av_textblock]<\/p>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-kv2nmuha-cd620dc4a26a12a2cdf29c8080e20aed '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>She finished her Degree in Psychology at the University of Malaga in 2018 and completed her Master&#8217;s Degree in General Health Psychology in 2020. Her Master&#8217;s Thesis discussed about the association between post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic pain, taking into account the role played in this association by the psychological variables experiential avoidance, distress tolerance and catastrophism. She was beneficiary of a research initiation grant during the 2019-2020 academic year and collaborated within the research line &#8220;Post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic pain as comorbid entities: analysis of transdiagnostic factors&#8221;. She\u2019s currently a beneficiary of the aid for pre-doctoral contracts for the training of PhDs of the Andalusian Knowledge System assigned to the Project \u201c<em>Predictive variables of prescription opioid abuse in patients with chronic non-oncologic pain: Development of a risk detection scale.\u201d<\/em> (PREDOC-00023).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n<p>[\/av_two_third]<br \/>\n[\/av_textblock]<\/p>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-kv2nmuha-cd620dc4a26a12a2cdf29c8080e20aed '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>She finished her Degree in Psychology at the University of Malaga in 2018 and completed her Master&#8217;s Degree in General Health Psychology in 2020.
